FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What EPIC is, where your data goes, how findings are rated, what it does not claim, and what it costs.

What is EPIC?

EPIC, short for EdgePro Intelligence Console, is a Chrome and Edge browser extension that runs a technical review of any website, web app or API from your browser. It reads what the browser can already see across security, SEO, performance, accessibility and the API surface, scores it, and turns it into a client-ready report.

Where does my data go? Is anything uploaded?

EPIC runs entirely in your browser. Your scans and findings stay on your device. Nothing about the pages you scan is sent to EdgePro's servers to be scanned or stored, and the logo you add for branded reports stays on your device too. See the trust page for the full explanation.

Is EPIC a penetration test or a tool that attacks a site?

No. EPIC reads what the browser can already observe and runs optional, opt-in probes that use GET requests with no credentials and change nothing on the target. It does not submit forms or send requests that look like they change data. It is evidence for review, not an attack tool and not a penetration test.

Can EPIC tell me if I am PCI or SOC 2 compliant?

No. EPIC surfaces browser-observable signals and maps them to control families such as ISO, SOC 2 and FedRAMP as evidence for your matrix. Determining compliance is the job of a qualified assessor. The PCI checkout review inventories a payment page's scripts as evidence; it is not a PCI DSS compliance determination.

What do Observed, Potential and Verified mean?

Every finding is labeled by how firm it is. Observed means the scan saw it directly in browser evidence. Potential means it is a signal you should confirm against what you know about the app. Verified means an authorized, repeatable check confirmed it. EPIC is built not to overstate.

What does EPIC cost?

Three plans. Free is $0 and needs no account or credit card to start. Observe + Reporting is $6.99 per month and adds App Crawl, the API inventory, compliance signals, scheduled monitoring and branded reports. Modify + Reporting is $9.99 per month and adds safe request and header modification with evidence. Billing is monthly and can be cancelled anytime. See pricing.

Do I need an account to try EPIC?

No. The free plan needs no account and no credit card. Install the extension, open it on any page, and run Quick Scan.

Which browsers does EPIC support?

EPIC supports Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, both Chromium-based and built on Manifest V3.

Can I put my own branding on the reports?

Yes. Add your company name, your client's name and your logo once, and every exported report carries them. Reports open with an executive summary ahead of the detailed evidence, and export as HTML, Markdown or CSV. The logo stays on your device.

Try it on your own site.

Free to start. No account, no card.
